  • We are collecting gently used chidren's books at the front office and Jessica's house (dm or email president@maywoodhillspta.com for the address).

Collections are Oct 15-17. The book swap is on Oct 18 at the Enchanted Booktacular

  • We are looking for just a few volunteers to help on Friday. Can you stay after school from 3:45-4:15 to help move tables and chairs to the gym? Can you come early (kids are welcome) to help set up and decorate (anytime between 5:00-6:00)? Can you give 30 min of your time during the event to help out at a station? Perhaps you can stay at the end of the Booktacular to clean up? THANK YOU! These events run on volunteers. Sign up here: https://evite.me/K1YAHxfaJ8

  • Starting Friday Oct 18-Sunday Oct 27, help your students track their minutes of reading time. See FAQ for what counts (everything!)

Students can track on paper copies sent home (extras in the front office) or straight on the pledgestar site. All minutes must be submitted online by Oct 27 or through papers turned in by Monday Oct 28.

FAQ:

  • Everything! Audiobooks, listening to someone else read aloud, looking through picture books (especially for our early and non readers!), graphic novels, magazines...
The time spent reading at school counts too! See if your students can keep track or find out how much time is spent each day.

  • Each student recieved a paper copy where they can track their minutes. Those can either be turned in to the front office or can be entered on your student's pledgestar site starting Fri, Oct 18.

Count all minutes read between Oct 18-27.
All minutes must be turned in or recorded by 10/28.

  • We have prizes planned for all levels of participation! Students do not have to raise funds in order to be eligible for the prizes.
Check out all the details on the pledgestar site.
