Maywood Hills PTA Teacher Curriculum and Team Teacher Grant Programs

One of the 3 Pillars of the Maywood Hills PTA is to Support Teachers and Staff by investing in and prioritizing teacher well-being and encourage financial assistance to boost classroom materials. The Teacher Curriculum and Team Teacher Grant programs are a key to this pillar. The PTA will provide a monthly report tracking curriculum grant spend. The list of eligible teachers and staff is supplied by Maywood Hills Administration.

  • Teachers and staff are eligible for an annual Teacher Curriculum Grant. Funds are intended to be used on supplies, materials, or experiences for students. Funds cannot be used on materials intended to be paid by the school district. 

    To ensure grant funds are used to support students in the current school year, all grant reimbursement requests must be submitted by April 1.

    Expenses that are Approved: Classroom decorations, books, general extra supplies, activities for the students

    Expenses that are Not Approved: Classroom curriculum, teacher development or continuing education, supplies that should be provided by district

  • Teacher teams are eligible for a $500 grant to support the collective needs of that team. The teacher team should work together on a proposal for the grant funds and should submit the request HERE prior to using the funds. Email the proposal to the PTA executive team (email addresses are below) for approval prior to submitting the reimbursement request. 

    To ensure grant funds are used to support students in the current school year, all grant reimbursement requests must be submitted by April 1.

    Expenses that are Approved: Funds towards grade level field trip or activities, shared grade level supplies

    Expenses that are Not Approved: Classroom curriculum, teacher development or continuing education, supplies that should be provided by district

  • To ensure a speedy reimbursement process, Maywood Hills PTA uses Zelle to transfer funds. Zelle is safely and securely linked to your bank account and can be set up through your bank. You can find more information on Zelle here.

    Reimbursements submitted using a Zelle account will be processed within 24-48 hours.
